Italian Pavillon Expo 2015

Milano - IT

Kennst du das Land, wo die Zitronen blühn? Do you know the land where citrons bloom? The question in Goethe's famous verse, referring to Italy, is emblematic of the design concept of the Italian Pavilion Expo2015, based on the combination of culture/art that has made us renowned throughout the world, combined with a new relevance, culture/technology. The exceptional volume of the building is articulated around a central open space, so that the contents of the exhibition are the focus, the heart of the pavilion, around which all the other functions blossom like buds. A suspended head in which contents, images, plantations intertwine in a triumph of communication. Along the ramp and on the roof, the theme of greenery is an integral part of the narrative and multimedia, cultural and iconographic apparatus described above.
